Edgewater Sports Park
4819 East Miami River Rd. Cleves, Ohio 45002 (513) 353-4666

You see a lot of hot cars and trucks cruising around the Eastside. We have lots of car and bike shows where you can let the public get a good look at your ride but we have nowhere (legally and safely) to run your hot rod to its full potential. Well that’s where Edgewater Sports Park comes in. Edgewater has been the premier raceway in the Tri-State area for decades now but when was the last time your went down to the track?
You may think Edgewater is just for racers however, that’s far from the truth! Edgewater is an awesome place to just set up the lawn chairs, kick back and watch the action. You’ll see all kinds of racing throughout the month. Classes like motorcycle, Quick 8, Super Pro, Pro/Sportsman, Trophy Racing, Junior Dragster, High School, Summit Racing Series, Import, UMTRA, Muscle Car and more. There is even show and shine car shows and night racing. In short there is something for everyone. Old classics, modern import tuners, junior dragsters and everything in between.
You’d be amazed to see the kids run those junior dragsters. These kids range from age 8 to 18. It’s really cool to see a 8 year old bust of the line like a pro and run the track in their little dragsters. What an awesome way to encourage and support a youngster to get involved in something other than a silly computer game! It’s probably a heck of a lot safer than team sports and far more fun. You think these kids are going to pass their driving test with flying colors? You bet.
Edgewater serves food from 6-10 p.m. and the prices are reasonable. So there is no reason to leave the family at home.
Whether your there to race or just to watch it’s exhilarating and exciting to say the least. So if you have a Honda you think is top dog in town put your money where your mouth is and get it on the track otherwise just shut up and watch the races. If you have a classic street rod you probably already know the drill. Just remember street racing is stupid. Telephone poles, trees and culverts are not designed to save your life when you lose it at 100 MPH (or even 55 for that matter).
So if your going to run it, run on a race track that way when your wreck it you can just get ribbed by your friends instead of breaking all your ribs. Be safe have fun and get it on!
For a complete list of events, prices, photos and much more visit Edgewater Sports Park at www.edgewaterrace.com they have all the updated information for the track events.
